About Writing & Therapy
Writing & Therapy offers counselling and therapeutic writing services for adults working through a range of challenges including anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, and low self-esteem. The practice is registered with BACP.
Services include weekly individual counselling sessions, couples counselling to help partners improve communication and resolve conflicts, and flexible email counselling that allows you to explore your concerns at your own pace with a qualified professional. Therapeutic writing groups are also available, tailored to be gently therapeutic or more creatively focused depending on group needs.
Beyond one-to-one work, Writing & Therapy runs structured writing workshops using simple exercises to help participants explore feelings, reflect on experiences, and connect with themselves and others. The practice also offers Words in the Wood, outdoor creative writing retreats set in the Wiltshire countryside, designed to inspire reflection, deepen self-awareness, and support personal growth in a peaceful, restorative setting.
Whether you're seeking individual support, relationship help, or a more creative approach to wellbeing, Writing & Therapy combines counselling expertise with the therapeutic power of writing to meet you where you are.
