About Winchester Choi Kwang Do Martial Art
Winchester Choi Kwang Do offers Choi Kwang Do (CKD), a non-competitive Korean martial art designed for men, women and children of all ages. Classes are tailored to different life stages: children's programmes focus on developing a strong mind and healthy body, adult classes (12–60) provide efficient self-defence training, and classes for those 60 and over recognise that while ageing is inevitable, decline is optional. Family classes offer quality time together, with development across physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions.
Self-defence training using the CKD system equips participants with practical strategies to identify and manage potential conflicts, building genuine confidence and awareness. Women's self-defence classes are also available, offering both the confidence of reduced vulnerability and practical ability to respond effectively.
Beyond martial arts, Winchester Choi Kwang Do provides Active Release Technique (ART), a specialist physical therapy approach, and family and systemic therapy services.
All instructors are DBS checked and insured through NAKMAS, ensuring professional standards and safeguarding. Whether you're seeking fitness and health benefits, practical self-defence skills, or family activities that develop mind and body together, Winchester Choi Kwang Do offers accessible, structured training across the lifespan.
