About West Midlands Aikido Association Dojo Club

West Midlands Aikido Association Dojo Club is a traditional martial arts club that has been teaching aikido to adults and children since 1982. As part of the British Aikido Board network, the club's instructors hold Level 1 or Level 2 coaching awards and operate under the Sport England Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts, ensuring a safe and structured environment for all participants.

The club offers aikido classes for different experience levels, with a grading syllabus that supports student progression as training expands into more advanced techniques. Members train regularly in traditional weapons work, including Aiki Ken (sword) and Aiki Jo (staff), adding depth to their martial arts practice. For families looking to train together, some of the club's dojos offer dedicated family classes where parents and children learn side by side.

Whether you're new to aikido or looking to deepen your practice, West Midlands Aikido Association provides a welcoming, established community rooted in traditional martial arts training and personal development.
