About Umbrella Counselling
Umbrella Counselling provides counselling for a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, life changes, and problem resolution. The team welcomes everyone regardless of gender or sexuality, creating an inclusive space for clients seeking support.
Services span emotional and behavioural concerns. Adults can access support for anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, and sexual health concerns. Young people aged 13 and above are also supported, with counsellors using a range of approaches including art and creative techniques to help with anxiety, anger, and behavioural issues.
The practice has particular expertise in trauma work. Staff are specialists in counselling survivors of sexual trauma, rape, and childhood sexual abuse. The team also supports people who have experienced domestic abuse and those dealing with self-harm or suicidal thoughts. Practitioners hold recognised counselling credentials including MNCS (ACCR) accreditation, and one therapist is a student member of COSRT, training in psychosexual therapy.
Umbrella Counselling is for anyone seeking professional, confidential support to work through emotional difficulties and build wellbeing.
