About The Upward Spiral
The Upward Spiral is a counselling service offering professional support for a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. As a male counsellor, the practice has developed a special interest in working with bereavement, men's mental health, young adults, and those experiencing burnout—particularly those who find it difficult to reach out for help.
The Upward Spiral provides general counselling sessions alongside specialised support for anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. The practice also draws on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) as part of a broad therapeutic toolkit. Additional areas of experience include work-related stress, social anxiety, confidence and self-esteem difficulties, problematic anger, and transitions such as retirement or workplace challenges.
The counsellor is accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring professional standards and ethical practice. Sessions are delivered in a way that is both professional and accessible.
Whether you're navigating grief, managing anxiety, processing trauma, or seeking support through a difficult life transition, The Upward Spiral offers a compassionate, experienced approach to help you move forward.
