About The Listening Ear
The Listening Ear offers a range of talking therapies and creative approaches to counselling, welcoming both adults and young people. The practice explores your thoughts, feelings and behaviours through several therapeutic modalities, each with its own focus and method.
Talking counselling forms the foundation of the service, with person-centred therapy focusing on what's happening for you right now, psychodynamic therapy helping you notice how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present, and humanistic therapy encouraging self-discovery and personal growth. Integrative counselling brings together different approaches and creative tools tailored to your needs.
Beyond traditional talking therapy, The Listening Ear incorporates expressive and creative methods. Art therapy uses drawing, painting or clay to express how you feel, while sand tray therapy involves using small figures and objects in sand to create scenes that reflect your inner world. Play therapy and breathwork sessions offer additional pathways for exploration and grounding.
Online counselling is available if you prefer to work remotely, alongside face-to-face sessions in a private space. Meditation group classes are also offered as part of the service.
Whether you're seeking support for a specific concern or exploring your emotional wellbeing more broadly, The Listening Ear provides a confidential, non-judgmental space to work through what matters to you.
