About The Family And Therapy Place
The Family and Therapy Place offers counselling and therapy for children, young people, and adults across a range of life challenges. Play Therapy is provided for children aged 3 to 12, while older children and young people aged 8 to 18 receive tailored support through counselling approaches that focus on how people feel, think and act. For adults, the practice offers general counselling sessions alongside family and systemic therapy to strengthen relationships and address communication difficulties.
Couples Counselling is available for those facing conflicts or seeking to enhance intimacy and connection. The practice is also active in professional development, offering clinical supervision and support for therapists working with children.
The Family and Therapy Place holds organisational membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and is registered with both the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Katie Ruddy is a BAPT Registered Play Therapist®.
Whether you're navigating family dynamics, relationship challenges, or seeking support for your child's emotional wellbeing, The Family and Therapy Place provides evidence-informed therapy in a professional, regulated setting.
