About The Bridge Service
The Bridge Service provides specialist counselling and therapy for children and adults, with particular expertise in eating disorders. An initial assessment by a registered therapist trained in eating disorder treatment forms the foundation of care, followed by a personalised treatment programme tailored to your needs.
Services include general counselling sessions, family and systemic therapy, and group therapy. Family therapy has proven to be an important element in the treatment of eating disorders, while group therapy offers children and adults the opportunity to find their voice within a supportive community of individuals facing similar challenges. Throughout treatment, clients receive regular therapist reviews and support from the wider team, including dietetic guidance on nutrition and feeding.
The Bridge Service works with children, adults, parents, carers, schools, and other health professionals to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care. Clinical reports are collated by health professionals and finalised by registered therapists to support ongoing treatment and communication with other services.
Whether you're seeking individual support, family involvement in recovery, or peer connection through group work, The Bridge Service offers a comprehensive, person-centred approach to mental health and eating disorder treatment.
