About Striking and Grappling Academy
Striking and Grappling Academy offers comprehensive martial arts training across striking, grappling and self-defence disciplines. Classes include karate, judo, boxing and MMA training, designed to teach students how to strike, grapple and defend effectively. The academy also offers combat karate for striking and self-defence fundamentals, kickboxing for power and real-world application, and kosen judo focusing on throws, takedowns and groundwork. Japanese Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is taught as a modern and effective system combining multiple disciplines.
The academy runs junior programmes for children aged 7 to 15, providing structured martial arts training tailored to younger learners. All instruction is delivered by coaches registered and licensed through the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA), with additional accreditation through the British Combat Karate Association.
