About Sotenjuku Aikido

Sotenjuku Aikido teaches the Japanese martial art of aikido to people of all levels. Classes run on Thursday evenings from 8:00pm to 9:30pm and Sunday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, with beginners' classes available—your first class is free. The dojo is affiliated with UK Aikikai (UKA), which connects to the Aikikai Foundation in Japan, and is also a member of the Joint Aikikai Council (JAC). As you progress through aikido training, you'll work through a structured kyu grading syllabus, learning the techniques and principles that lead toward black belt. Sotenjuku welcomes both complete beginners thinking of giving aikido a go and those continuing their training. Whether you're looking to start a new martial art or deepen an existing practice, this community dojo offers a welcoming environment to learn and develop.
