About Sarah Thorpe
Sarah Thorpe is an HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist offering a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support your mental health and wellbeing.
Sarah works with art psychotherapy, talking psychotherapy, and walking and talking psychotherapy, tailoring her approach to suit your needs and preferences. She is trained and currently practises EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a specialist technique for processing difficult experiences and trauma.
Beyond art-based work, Sarah draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and solution-focused interventions. She also integrates psycho-educational and mentalization-based approaches, ensuring that treatment is grounded in current evidence and adapted to your individual circumstances.
Sarah understands that psychotherapy is not a quick fix. She works with you over time to build understanding, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, or simply seeking support to understand yourself better, Sarah offers a thoughtful, professional space in which to explore what matters to you.
