About Pmhborders
Pmhborders is a therapy and counselling service offering a range of evidence-based treatments for adults, families, and infants. The practice provides 12-session blocks of one-to-one talking therapy and art psychotherapy, both delivered in person. For those working through trauma, EMDR therapy is available over 6–12 sessions; this approach is specifically designed to treat acute and complex trauma.
The service extends to families and parent-child relationships. Parent-child therapy uses play and art materials to work alongside both parent and child, typically over 6–12 sessions, while family and systemic therapy addresses dynamics within the wider family system. For parents seeking additional support, infant massage classes are offered throughout the year, contributing to enhanced sensory development and awareness in babies and toddlers. A warm, homely crèche space is available to care for younger children during sessions.
Beyond one-to-one work, Pmhborders runs several groups throughout the year, including nutrition groups held twice yearly in partnership with NHS professionals. The practice also offers a more informal approach through woodland walk-and-talk therapy, recognising that sometimes it is easier to talk while walking side-by-side with a therapist.
Pmhborders is regulated by the HCPC and BACP, ensuring practitioners meet recognised professional standards. The service is particularly focused on perinatal mental health and family wellbeing, offering accessible, holistic support for those navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or emotional difficulties.
