Classes are structured around the three core elements of karate: Kihon (fundamentals), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring). This balanced approach means students develop technique, discipline, and practical application. The club welcomes children from age three upwards, with dedicated Karate Kids sessions designed as 45-minute introductions for the youngest learners. For those progressing through the ranks, gradings are conducted every four months, with preparation courses available to support belt advancement.

Beyond traditional practice, Kubotan Karate Club also emphasises competitive sport karate, with students regularly competing. A dedicated Friday Night Fight Class offers focused kumite and sparring sessions for those keen to develop their fighting skills. Private one-to-one coaching is available by appointment for personalised instruction.
