About Katie Elizabeth Allen
Katie Elizabeth Allen is a qualified and registered counsellor and psychotherapist accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She offers integrative counselling, which means she draws on a variety of different therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs.
Katie specialises in trauma therapy, with particular expertise in supporting survivors of sexual abuse and those affected by birth trauma and baby loss. Her deep understanding of childhood sexual abuse and its impacts informs her compassionate, trauma-informed practice. She also works with clients experiencing postnatal depression and the specific challenges faced by mothers during the perinatal period.
Beyond trauma work, Katie provides counselling for anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, and bereavement. She offers couples counselling and family therapy, helping relationships and family systems navigate difficulty and change. Her experience spans childhood trauma, grief, loss, and a range of emotional and relational difficulties.
Working with individuals, couples, and families, Katie creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences and move towards healing and positive change.
