About Joseph Mishan
Joseph Mishan is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 26 years of experience working with people experiencing emotional difficulties. He is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association.
Mishan offers both individual psychotherapy and couples counselling, providing flexible session formats to suit different needs. In addition to regular weekly sessions, he offers block therapy—an agreed number of two to three hour sessions on consecutive days—which allows for more concentrated therapeutic work. He qualified in 2010 and has observed meaningful changes in his clients happening over shorter timeframes than were previously possible.
Beyond talking therapy, Mishan has a particular interest in mindfulness meditation and maintains an established meditation practice, which he shares through group classes.
He works with clients seeking support for a range of emotional and relational concerns, whether through ongoing individual work or couples therapy. His approach combines psychoanalytic depth with practical flexibility, helping people achieve meaningful change in their emotional wellbeing and relationships.
