About Jo Walker
Jo Walker is a trauma-informed counsellor with a humanistic, person-centred foundation, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She offers counselling both online and in person, providing a grounded, relational setting for her clients.
Jo works with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm, as well as relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss, and periods of change. She has a particular interest in supporting people navigating childlessness, pregnancy loss, and fertility-related issues. She also offers support to parents and carers of children who have experienced relational or developmental trauma.
Her therapeutic approach draws on several evidence-based modalities. She has undertaken specialist training in attachment-based and relational approaches, and brings additional expertise in trauma and somatic work, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing. This combination of training allows her to work with complex presentations in a way that honours both the mind and body.
