About JKG Karate
JKG Karate offers quality Shotokan Karate with professional coaching, delivering classes three days per week for all ages and abilities. The team of instructors hold a minimum Level 1 instructor certificate and are certified through the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association (BMABA), with membership also included with the annual karate license through the English Karate Federation (EKF).
Classes are structured to suit different experience levels and age groups. Adult beginners are welcome alongside more advanced practitioners, while junior classes cater to beginner through to intermediate and advanced students. JKG Karate also offers classes specifically tailored to children and teenagers with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring an inclusive approach to martial arts training.
Progression through the grades follows a fair, progressive and challenging grading system, with grading records maintained and national grade ratification provided. This structured approach helps students track their development and achieve recognised milestones in their karate journey.
Whether you're an adult looking to start karate for the first time, a young person seeking to build confidence and discipline, or a parent searching for inclusive, professionally coached classes for a child with additional needs, JKG Karate provides accessible martial arts training with qualified instruction and a clear pathway for progression.
