About Jane Oldfield Counselling
Jane Oldfield Counselling provides psychotherapy, counselling and EMDR to adults, offering support for a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. As a BACP accredited psychotherapist and counsellor, Jane brings extensive experience to her work with clients facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and family troubles.
Jane specialises in trauma-informed care, with particular expertise in working with trauma including domestic abuse and childhood issues. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a therapy recognised by NICE as an effective treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder. She also offers CBT and family and systemic therapy approaches.
With extensive experience in eating disorder treatment, Jane has completed specialist training in CBT-E from the Oxford Centre for Research into Eating Disorders and undertaken supervised training in MANTRA, a NICE-approved interpersonal treatment for anorexia. This allows her to support people managing anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder with evidence-based approaches.
Beyond direct client work, Jane offers individual supervision to trainee, qualified and accredited counsellors and psychotherapists, supporting professional development within the field.
Jane holds memberships with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP Regd. No. 152349), the EMDR UK Association, and is an accredited course provider with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. She works with adults seeking support for emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, relationship difficulties, and specific mental health concerns in a confidential, professional setting.
