About Inside Out Psychology
Inside Out Psychology is an independent clinical psychology service run by Dr Maria Knapp, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist accredited with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society.
The practice offers clinical psychology therapy and counselling for a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. This includes anxiety in all its forms—from specific phobias and social anxiety to generalised anxiety, panic and obsessive compulsive disorder—as well as depression, stress (including work- or school-related pressures), and trauma or PTSD. The service also supports people navigating difficulties associated with loss, such as grief, bereavement, separation, divorce or job loss, and provides couples counselling for relationship difficulties.
Beyond these core areas, Inside Out Psychology addresses body image concerns and body dysmorphia, helps with self-esteem, confidence and social skills, and offers support with parenting difficulties. The practice also provides health psychology consultations for people managing acute or chronic illness, and conducts clinical psychological assessments that can inform decision-making around elective procedures.
Whether you're facing a specific life challenge, struggling with your mental health, or seeking support during a difficult transition, Inside Out Psychology offers professional, evidence-based care tailored to your needs.
