About Helen Preston
Helen Preston is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience offering a safe and supportive counselling environment. She is an Accredited Member of The National Counselling Society.
Helen works with a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs. She offers person-centred counselling, helping clients find their own solutions to problems, alongside psychodynamic therapy that explores how past experiences shape current beliefs and behaviour. She also provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to assist clients in changing unhelpful thought patterns, and integrative counselling that draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches.
Specialised services include bereavement counselling for those processing grief, couples counselling for relationship support, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping to help shift emotional blockages that may prevent moving forward. Helen also offers meditation group classes, drawing on many years of personal practice, and hypnotherapy.
With extensive experience in both one-to-one and group settings, Helen provides therapy for adults and teenagers. She is also an experienced supervisor, having worked in this supportive capacity for over five years.
Helen Preston helps clients navigate life's challenges through compassionate, professional therapy grounded in established therapeutic methods.
