About Glimmer Therapy

Glimmer Therapy is a counselling and psychotherapy practice led by Bex, an accredited counsellor with BACP membership. Therapy here is down-to-earth and tailored to your needs, with a particular focus on trauma recovery—whether you're processing a significant event or working through long-term patterns.

Bex integrates nervous system work into talking therapy, recognising that long-term healing often comes from learning to recognise and regulate your nervous system. This somatic approach is combined with parts work and Internal Family Systems techniques to help you navigate inner conflicts and reconnect with yourself.

Creative and imaginative tools feature throughout the work, including drawing, meditation, and storytelling to access and process what words alone might not reach. You can also explore therapy through movement: Glimmer Therapy offers walk and talk sessions in outdoor settings, as well as online appointments to suit your preference.

The practice draws on psychosynthesis, Jungian psychology, and family systems approaches, creating a rich, integrative framework for self-discovery and healing. This is a space affirming of women, queerness, neurodivergence, and all diversity.
