About Dr. Rachel Wood
Dr. Rachel Wood is a psychotherapist and counsellor registered with both the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). She offers both longer-term psychotherapy and short-term counselling, where the focus is on specific areas of concern.
Rachel's primary therapeutic approach is Core Process Psychotherapy, a contemplative, mindfulness-based method developed through four years of training at the Karuna Institute. She is also a qualified EMDR practitioner, bringing additional expertise in trauma-informed care.
Beyond traditional talking therapy, Rachel has trained as an end-of-life doula and is interested in how connection with nature can be a resource within therapeutic work. She is currently undertaking further training towards a Diploma in Contemplative Supervision.
Rachel works both in person and online, making her services accessible regardless of location. She also offers clinical supervision for qualified practitioners on a reduced-fee basis.
