About Dr Lorraine Mulholland
Lorraine Mulholland is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with 30 years' experience helping children and young adults grow with confidence. She is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and holds membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Lorraine offers a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Integrative Counselling, and general counselling sessions. She specialises in working with anxiety, school stress, friendships, confidence and emotional regulation in younger clients, as well as supporting teenagers and young adults navigating perfectionism, overwhelm, identity, social pressure and low mood.
Beyond one-to-one work, Lorraine provides support for parents and caregivers, addressing concerns around staying calm, realistic parenting, guilt and pressure. She also facilitates a monthly online group for parents of children under seven, offering a relaxed, supportive space to connect and share experiences.
All appointments are held online via video call, making therapy accessible and flexible. Lorraine also maintains a free, searchable library of resources called 3 Wee Tips to support families between sessions.
Whether you're seeking help for a young person or parental support yourself, Lorraine offers compassionate, professional care grounded in psychological expertise and decades of clinical experience.
