About Dr Helen C Nicholas Cpsychol - Counselling Psychologist

Dr Helen C Nicholas is an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, offering a range of evidence-based psychological therapies for individuals, couples, and families. She provides Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), drawing on her experience working with individuals and couples to address anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem. Her approach also encompasses family and systemic therapy, helping families navigate challenges together.

Beyond direct client work, Dr Nicholas is an EMDR Europe accredited consultant and supervisor, and holds membership of the British Psychological Society Register for Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS). She provides supervision for other practitioners and creates a warm, friendly and safe space for supervisees. She also offers court and expert witness reports for legal proceedings.
