About Children's Physio Dorset
Children's Physio Dorset is a highly specialised paediatric physiotherapy practice with over 15 years of experience supporting children from birth through to adolescence. HCPC-registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the practice offers comprehensive assessment and treatment across a wide range of children's physical health needs.
Services include paediatric physiotherapy for developmental delay, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, and acquired injuries. The practice also provides specialist support for musculoskeletal concerns, pain management, hypermobility, post-fracture rehabilitation, and sports injuries in young people. Baby MOT developmental checks are available for infants aged 0–24 months, offering quick and affordable screening.
Treatment approaches combine hands-on therapy such as soft tissue massage, stretching, and neuro-facilitation with advanced techniques including Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), electrical stimulation, and whole body vibration therapy. Gait analysis and walking retraining help address movement patterns, while orthotic and splinting assessments ensure children receive appropriate equipment support. Intensive therapy blocks are tailored to individual needs.
The practice conducts formal assessments and produces detailed reports, including contributions to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications. Additional support includes tribunal preparation and medico-legal reporting, backed by Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness certification and registration on the National Register of Expert Witnesses.
