About Candy Batkin MBACP
Candy Batkin is a qualified person-centred counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She offers counselling and psychotherapy to help with common causes of distress including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement, and work-related stress.
Candy has specialist experience in bereavement and loss counselling, having worked in a bereavement-focused role at St Wilfrid's hospice. She holds EMDR qualifications (levels one, two and three through EMDR Europe) and integrates this evidence-based approach into her practice where appropriate.
She works with young people and children from age 10 onwards, as well as adults. Her services include general counselling sessions, anxiety therapy, depression therapy, couples counselling, stress counselling, and bereavement counselling. She also offers EMDR therapy for trauma and distressing memories.
Recognising that different clients have different needs, Candy provides flexible delivery options. Sessions are available face-to-face, online, or by telephone, allowing you to choose the format that works best for you.
