About Bonnie Tompson
Bonnie Tompson is a licensed acupuncturist and Tui Na practitioner registered with the British Acupuncture Council and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. She offers traditional acupuncture rooted in Chinese medicine, a system of healthcare practised for over 2,500 years, alongside complementary therapeutic techniques.
Her practice encompasses a range of acupuncture approaches, including auricular acupuncture and NADA Protocol acupuncture, for which she trained with John Tindall. She incorporates Tui Na, or Chinese medical massage, as part of her holistic treatment approach, drawing on her Diploma in Tui Na.
Bonnie also offers several traditional Chinese therapeutic techniques to support and enhance acupuncture treatment. These include moxibustion, which involves burning dried mugwort on or near acupuncture points; fire cupping, a traditional technique using heated glass cups; and Gua Sha, which uses a smooth-edged tool to stroke the skin. She also uses TDP lamp therapy, which emits far-infrared heat and mineral-rich waves designed to penetrate deeply.
In addition to her core acupuncture and massage work, Bonnie offers medical and birth trauma therapy, bringing a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to her practice.
Bonnie is a recognised provider for Benenden Health Cash Plan members. She works with clients seeking natural, evidence-based approaches to health and wellbeing, offering personalised treatment plans that draw on traditional Chinese medicine principles and modern therapeutic understanding.
