About As I Am Counselling

As I Am Counselling offers integrative, trauma-informed counselling to support you through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and holder of a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, the practice brings extensive experience and professional accreditation to every session.

The counselling approach combines person-centred practice with psychodynamic theory and elements of internal family systems work, tailored to your individual needs. Services include general counselling sessions, psychodynamic therapy, family and systemic therapy, and IFS coaching, alongside ADHD coaching for those navigating neurodiversity.

As I Am Counselling specialises in supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence, with particular expertise in trauma-informed care. This means extensive experience working with clients experiencing post-traumatic stress and its related effects. Beyond trauma work, the practice supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, anger, and women's specific issues. There is also dedicated support available for those exploring neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism.
