About Art of Movement Bristol - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira
Art of Movement Bristol specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Capoeira, offering classes for both adults and children across multiple skill levels. The studio delivers two-hour adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 PM, plus a 1.5-hour no-Gi class on Saturday mornings. For younger students, there are introductory classes for ages 3–6 and dedicated sessions for ages 7 and up, held throughout the week.
Capoeira classes run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with additional Saturday morning sessions. Beyond regular classes, Art of Movement Bristol offers self-defence workshops, instructional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminars led by experienced professors, and one-to-one personal training. What Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes do you offer for adults?
We offer 2-hour Gi classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 PM, and a 1.5-hour no-Gi class every Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. We also deliver Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminars conducted by experienced and highly skilled BJJ professors, and one-to-one personal training sessions are available with Professor Rad.
Do you have classes for children?
Yes, we offer two different age groups: a 45-minute introduction to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class for kids aged 3–6 years old every Friday from 4:15 to 5:00 PM, and a 1-hour class for kids aged 7+ every Tuesday at 5:15 PM and Thursday at 5:00 PM.
What other martial arts and movement classes do you run?
In addition to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we offer Capoeira classes for both adults and kids, self-defence classes, and MMA training. Our Capoeira adult classes run 1.5 hours every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM, and Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM.
What is special about Art of Movement Bristol?
We are the only martial arts club in Bristol following the Mendes Brothers curriculum, who are 10-time world champions. Our instruction is led by Professor Rad, who has over 22 years of experience in martial arts and is a black belt in Capoeira.
Do you offer personal training beyond Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Yes, Professor Rad offers one-to-one personal training sessions covering stretching, flexibility, BJJ breathing techniques, Capoeira, and MMA for general fitness.
