About Amanda Smith MCS
Amanda Smith MCS is a registered, fully qualified and accredited counsellor, hypnotherapist, reflexologist and reiki practitioner. She offers counselling therapies for individuals, couples and families, drawing on a broad range of evidence-based and holistic approaches.
Her therapeutic toolkit includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which focuses on thoughts and beliefs; person-centred therapy; psychodynamic therapy, which explores childhood experiences and underlying patterns; and transactional analysis, which examines behaviours and coping mechanisms. She is also a certificated practitioner in EMDR therapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and specialises in PTSD treatment programmes.
Beyond talking therapies, Amanda offers complementary treatments including reflexology, reiki, and hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is often requested for smoking cessation and other goals. These holistic modalities sit alongside her psychotherapeutic work to support clients' overall wellbeing.
Amanda is an accredited registered member of the National Counselling and Hypnotherapy Society. She works with clients seeking support for emotional wellbeing, life challenges, trauma recovery, and personal development, combining psychological insight with complementary healing practices.
