About Amanda Hart
Amanda Hart is a psychotherapist, counsellor and relationship therapist who works with individuals, couples and families. She is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and an Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (MNCS Accred.), and holds affiliate membership with the National Centre for Eating Disorders.
Amanda specialises in working with those struggling with eating and food disorders or body image disturbance. She offers a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, schema therapy, transactional analysis and hypnotherapy. She also provides general counselling sessions to help clients work through anxiety, stress, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Her experience extends to relationship and couple therapy, and she works with corporate and organisational clients to address interpersonal and staff issues. Amanda is trained in Mentalization Based Therapy for Parents under Pressure and works as an accredited clinical supervisor, specialising in supporting therapists working with eating disorders.
