About Alison Vigileos
Alison Vigileos is a Chartered Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). She offers a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to adults, young people and children from her private practice.
Alison specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), a talking therapy for emotional and physical health conditions, and is an accredited practitioner with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She is also an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, offering Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing as a psychological treatment for trauma. Her practice includes Jungian Sandplay Therapy, which can be used as a stand-alone or adjunct therapy, and she is registered with the Association of Sandplay Therapy (AST).
Alison takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to tailor treatment to individual needs. She also provides clinical psychological assessment to support understanding and intervention planning.
