Alison Betteridge is a UKCP-qualified integrative psychotherapist offering counselling, psychotherapy, life coaching, and specialist therapeutic approaches to support personal growth and wellbeing.
Alison works with clients seeking to move forward in their lives, taking action and committing to a life purpose through life coaching. For those navigating difficult periods, she provides general counselling and psychotherapy, recognising that most people benefit from professional support at some point. Sessions are held in regular weekly slots lasting 50 minutes.
Alison draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. She has undertaken additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with Dr Russ Harris, studied Transactional Analysis at the Berne Institute and the Northern Guild for Counselling, and works with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients. She also offers IFS coaching and family and systemic therapy approaches. For those with a spiritual dimension to their wellbeing, she provides Christian spiritual direction, offering accompaniment as you explore and discern your path.
Alison specialises in trauma-informed approaches, helping clients move beyond past experiences so they no longer intrude on the present moment.
