About Act to Connect
Act to Connect provides support for young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges, with extensive experience in supporting autistic individuals as well as those with ADHD, anxiety, OCD, and sleep disorders. The practice holds UK Behaviour Analyst Certification and draws from a range of evidence-based behavioural and developmental approaches to tailor support to each person's needs.
Services are delivered through several formats to suit different needs. Coaching sessions meet with the individual facing difficulties to work through challenges collaboratively. Teaching sessions focus on directly shaping new skills, while consultation sessions bring together caregivers such as parents and guardians to align support across home and other settings. Assessment sessions identify strengths and challenges to inform the approach going forward.
Therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Collaborative Proactive Solutions, and Behavioural Activation, among others. Parent wellbeing is recognised as a core part of the service offering, acknowledging that supporting families holistically strengthens outcomes for young people.
Act to Connect works with children, young people, and families to support emotional and behavioural wellbeing through individualised, evidence-based care.
