About A Place to Be Me
A Place to Be Me is a trauma-informed integrative counselling and psychotherapy practice offering support for adults, young people, and couples. The practitioner is a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and an accredited professional member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Services include general counselling sessions, brainspotting (a powerful somatic therapy involving the processing and release of emotion and body-based experiences through mindful focus), couples counselling, and walk and talk therapy. The practice also offers Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®), a series of innovative exercises designed to help the body release deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.
With a special interest in trauma, PTSD, and complex PTSD, the practitioner brings both clinical expertise and a compassionate, person-centred approach. Appointments are available both face to face and remotely, making support accessible regardless of your circumstances.
A Place to Be Me is ideal for anyone seeking professional, regulated counselling or psychotherapy in a safe, confidential space—whether you're navigating life challenges, processing difficult experiences, or working through relationship concerns.
